How Late Entrants Can Become Candidates for Search and AI-Era Consultation Queries
Tomohiro Iida · Published August 13, 2026 · Updated August 13, 2026
Netsujo entered the Web3 market after companies that had already accumulated content and search visibility. Our own Google Search Console record shows a different pattern between the broad term “Web3 consulting” and natural-language questions asking where to seek help with a Web3 new business. This is a single-site measurement, not a claim that a fixed ranking or AI answer inclusion has been achieved.
The data does not identify which answer each generative-AI service selected, and it does not prove a causal relationship between any one page change and a search result. Rankings vary by query, location, device, time, and result layout. Search rankings and inclusion in AI answers are not guaranteed.
Conclusion: compete for the decision behind the question, not only for the head term
Key takeaways
- A late entrant does not need to repeat the head term more often than an incumbent. It needs to answer the conditions a prospective customer must judge before they can ask for help.
- A guide can serve broad information-seeking intent while a service page serves consultation and commissioning intent. The pages should not try to do the same job.
- No single file, schema type, or crawler setting proves that an AI answer will select a company. Useful, verifiable information and a clear next action must work together.
What this measurement does and does not show
The source is the sc-domain:netsujo.jp Google Search Console snapshot generated on 2026-08-02. The 90-day window is 2026-05-02 to 2026-07-30; the 28-day window is 2026-07-03 to 2026-07-30. It records impressions and average position in Google Search, not the full selection behaviour of external AI products.
For that reason, this article separates four things: observable search-query data, the visible content of official pages, externally verifiable facts, and technical retrievability. It does not convert an impression, an AI mention, or a crawler visit into proof of the others.
The guide is stronger for the broad term; the service page is stronger for consultation intent
| Query and page role | URL | 90-day window | 28-day window |
|---|---|---|---|
The broad phrase is associated with the explanatory guide in this snapshot. The two questions nearest to asking for a consultation are associated with the Web3 consulting service page. That is not evidence that either URL is permanently number one; it is evidence that a reader looking for understanding and a reader looking for a provider need different page roles.
Five conditions that made a late entrant a plausible candidate
1. The service page answers “where can I consult?” before listing technology labels
The service page explains the points at which a company can consult—concept, PoC, development, and operation—alongside scope, cost conditions, go/no-go decisions, and the conditions in which Web3 may not be the right answer. For a consultation query, these decision conditions are more useful than a glossary alone.
2. The guide and the service page have separate jobs
The guide explains what Web3 consulting is and what to compare before commissioning. The service page states whether Netsujo can discuss a specific situation and how the work proceeds. A guide appearing for a broad phrase while a service page appears for a consultation phrase is not automatically a failure; the next check is whether their titles, H1s, body copy, and links make the distinction clear.
3. Company and activity claims can be checked outside the company website
No external activity record proves a ranking factor. It can, however, give a prospective customer an independently checkable connection between the company, a named person, and an activity. Kyoto Prefecture’s event announcement for 2 July 2026 lists Netsujo Inc. as host and Tomohiro Iida as a speaker. This is an example of verifiable entity information, not a claim that the event caused a search result.

4. The answer is available in ordinary, retrievable web content
The relevant pages put the answer, headings, internal links, canonical URL, robots policy, and visible structured facts into the normal website. This is not a special “AI ranking” technique. Google’s guidance says that there are no special technical requirements for its AI features beyond the usual eligibility and SEO fundamentals.

5. Related decisions are connected rather than isolated in one article
A Web3 buyer must often decide scope, cost, PoC exit conditions, regulation, development, and operations. The useful content structure is not a large collection of near-duplicate keyword pages. It is a path between the service page, the explanatory guide, and the pages that resolve the next decision.
What did not decide the outcome on its own
Netsujo.jp has structured data and an llms.txt file, but neither is treated as an AI-answer requirement or ranking factor. Structured data must match visible content and does not guarantee a search appearance. Google does not require llms.txt for AI-feature inclusion. Use technical signals to make accurate information easier to retrieve and understand, not as a substitute for information that is missing.

The remaining risk: guide and service-page cannibalisation
The snapshot also shows that more than one URL can surface around the broad term. That alone does not prove cannibalisation. We keep checking the title, H1, body, internal links, clicks, and destination needed for each query before deciding whether to rewrite, consolidate, or redirect. The intended response is not to redirect the guide away, but to keep its learning role and make the service page’s consultation role explicit.
A repeatable approach for other late entrants
- Collect actual consultation questions, then classify them as problem, solution, service option, provider, comparison criterion, or commissioning intent.
- Assign one decision to each page: explanation, comparison, price condition, service, proof, or next action.
- Place the claim, scope, method, author, update date, and evidence where a reader can check them together.
- Check retrieval, understanding, and action separately. Publishing more articles does not fix a blocked form or an unreadable service explanation.
- Re-observe under the same conditions. For Search Console, keep the period, query, and URL fixed; for AI-answer observation, record the service, prompt, locale, date, and execution conditions.
The first useful result is not “we beat the incumbent.” It is identifying the next query, URL, confirmed fact, and completion condition that make a prospective customer’s decision easier.
Using public information, identify the first fact and URL to check across search, generative AI, and inquiry paths. No card registration is required. Measurement and improvement cannot be asserted without access. Search rankings and AI-answer inclusion are not guaranteed.
