As work becomes more digital, we value time together more.
We build with AI and work remotely. We also make time to meet. Netsujo operates Miyako de IT, an IT community in Kyoto.
Work on something together. Ask about something you do not understand. Learn how people with different jobs and affiliations think. We continue to create these opportunities in Kyoto temples, townhouses, and other venues.
Miyako de IT began in February 2019. Netsujo Inc., founded in June 2023, is its current operator and collaboration contact.
Upcoming events and participation(日本語)
Leave a little room off-script.
When the task is clear, search and AI can help us move quickly. When people gather, we also leave some room that is not fully predetermined: hear from the person next to you, encounter a topic you would not have chosen yourself, or let the conversation continue after the scheduled session. Beyond the answer we set out to search for, there may be the seed of the next project or idea.
AI can help us look things up. Yet sometimes we cannot quite describe what is troubling us. Explaining it to someone, and hearing their questions, can help us see what we need to think about. A conversation can change the question.
A discussion about technology can turn to work or the local community. Coming across a question we would not have searched for ourselves is one reason to gather. We make room for sharing knowledge and for participants to talk.
Meeting does not guarantee trust. Listening, considering different opinions, and keeping commitments matter. We aim to offer a place where people can keep building those relationships. Online exchange remains an option for people joining from a distance or around other commitments.
