Agent Role Contracts v1.0.0 Officially Released
Netsujo ·
Netsujo released Agent Role Contracts v1.0.0 on October 15, 2026. The open-source Node.js CLI checks declarations covering agent roles, task scope, review separation and handoffs before execution. The stable package is available on npm and GitHub.
What the 1.0.0 release establishes
Version 1.0.0 commits the existing v0.5.0 public API and CLI behavior, twelve schemas and G1 digests as the 1.x compatibility baseline. It supports Node.js 22.5 or later. Existing 0.5.0 declarations do not need rewriting for this upgrade. The published package passed release checks covering package identity, signatures, a clean registry installation and valid/invalid CLI fixtures.
The operating boundary
ARC checks the consistency of supplied declarations. Identity authentication, runtime permissions, observation of actual filesystem effects, execution authority and deployment approvals remain responsibilities of the surrounding systems and operators. Developers can examine the official release, npm package and source repository.
